Our 12th Night festivities will kick off at 7pm with pre-parade libations at Maison d’Etoile (home to Coco Coquette and Charm School Vintage) at 2109 E. Cesar Chavez. We recommend leaving a car or bikes on Rainey for later on in the evening, and parking at the shop. There’s plenty of spaces on Anthony Street, Willow Street, and Caney Street, but please don’t park at the taqueria or print shop next door.

This is your last chance to grab any final costuming flourishes, put on your liquid coat, and meet your fellow 12th Night revelers. At 8:30 sharp we’ll begin our second line procession to The Blackheart at 86 Rainey Street, led by the infamous Minor Mishap Marching Band. Now is when your krewe really gets to strut its stuff, so make banners, hand out favors, sing songs, and get in the spirit. We don’t need to tell you, but please also be respectful of traffic and private property along the parade route.

Our procession will end at The Blackheart, where we’ll have king cake, a photo booth by Devaki Knowles of Fun Loving Photos, KOOP DJ Tom Mahnke will be spinning the finest in Cajun, Swamp Pop, New Orleans R&B and brass bands (and maybe even a little Zydeco to make sure you’re paying attention), and did we mention, king cake?
